The Recruitment Team plays a crucial role is in supporting the wider council to meet its priorities. We provide specialist advice and support to all divisions, helping managers fill vacant roles with the right people, at the right time. Ensuring those we recruit bring with them the skills, knowledge and experience needed to drive the council's plans forward.
As Recruitment Supervisor you will supervise and co-ordinate the work of the Recruitment Administrators and Recruitment Advisors, ensuring they deliver a high quality, responsive, accurate and effective customer focused service.
What will you be doing?
- Our Recruitment Administrators primary focus is on taking successful candidates accurately through their pre-employment checks. Your focus will be to oversee the work of the administration team, making sure that all candidates meet our compliance and safeguarding standards.
- The administration team are also the first point of contact for all our customers. Through coaching and mentoring, it will be your responsibility to ensure the team always deliver a proactive, high quality customer service, and that vitally the advice and guidance provided is relevant and accurate.
- You will be responsible for all aspects of a management role, including overseeing work allocation, day to day supervision, 1;1’s, PDPR’s and performance and absence management.
- You will oversee the Recruitment Advisors, who provide specialist, hands-on recruitment support to managers. You will also get involved with recruitment activity, including advising managers on recruitment processes, and helping to find creative solutions to recruitment challenges. This will include advert writing, researching candidate attraction methods and supporting hiring managers through the end-to-end recruitment process.
