How you'll make a difference

In this flexible role, you will work with children who are vulnerable or who have special needs ensuring they receive a safe, relaxed and calm trip to and from school.
 
What will you be doing? 
  • Your main responsibility will be to supervise the children on the vehicle at all times, assisting them on and off the bus, helping them with their seat belts and generally looking after their needs. 
  • You will take primary responsibility for the physical and social care of passengers during the transporting to and from school.
  • In this role, you will need to report any issues affecting any of the children and make sure they are accurately relayed to parents, the school and the Integrated Transport team. 
  • This role also provides opportunities to gain a permanent employment within the service if required.

What we need from you

  • We require you to have the ability to deal with children in a calm, understanding, caring and empathetic manner.
  • You will be physically able to assist children on and off the vehicle where required.
Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.
