How you'll make a difference

As a Bikeability Instructor you will make a difference by providing road safety awareness skills to children and adults, enabling them to be confident and consistent whilst travelling on the roads. 
 
This position is offered on an Annualised contract and the hours available are:
 
900 hours throughout the year  - 17.26 hours weekly
600 hours throughout the year  - 11.51 hours weekly
360 hours throughout the year  -  6.90 hours weekly
240 hours throughout the year -   4.60 hours weekly
 
What will you be doing?  
 
  • You will deliver training to adults, children and families, throughout the year, including some evenings and weekends.  
  • You will be expected to promote cycle training to groups and individuals.   
  • You will be a confident cyclist and happy to work in all weathers.

What we need from you

  • You will be an accomplished cyclist, used to cycling in all road and traffic conditions and provide your own bicycle and cycle helmet which must be worn at all times. 
  • You must have good communication skills and able to convey clear instructions to children, adults and other professionals 
  • You must be able to work unsupervised.
  • You will have good availability during school times, at least two days a week and you will ideally have some experience of working with children.

Please note that due to the nature of this role it is a requirement of employment that an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is obtained for this post.

Salary is £12.18 per hour worked, with travel time and expenses paid.
