How you'll make a difference

The Resettling Communities team ensures the local delivery of resettlement programmes such as the UK Resettlement Scheme, the Homes for Ukraine, the Afghan Relocations and Assistance Policy, and Hong Kong British Nationals (Overseas) Programme.

The packages of support we provide will already be established, so as Assistant Commissioning Officer, you will play an important role in maintaining these and contributing to project planning and partnership working.

What will you be doing?

  • Under the guidance of a Senior Resettling Communities Officer, you will maintain regular contact with commissioned services and gather information on the progress of various resettlement schemes.
  • It will be your responsibility to maintain accurate records of service users under each scheme and packages of support for various resettlement programmes.
  • It will be key for you to deliver clear and accurate advice to commissioned services, and other internal and external customers.
  • You will analyse and research information to inform best practice and future design.

What we need from you

  • You must be NVQ Level 3 qualified or hold equivalent level qualification or experience.
  • It is essential that you have previously worked within voluntary, health or social care sectors
  • You will have strong communication skills, be able to prioritise competing demands and have good problem-solving skills.
